Getting to the more important subject, last year I took it upon myself to work on a single animation project but found that I was biting off more then I could chew (and I know how to down my food) as well as having to complete other various assignments. Way to go Astra, great choice of career considering that you need to be assertive and promote yourself to get the job. Maybe I should had been more assertive and asked around more, then again my timid nature is at its strongest when it comes to confronting people. I felt rather discouraged when I offered people help in my chosen specialism then to be told that they can cover it, it came to the point where I placed my name on the individuals list but there was no call for character designers after a few days of waiting. I apologise in advance if you do feel offended in any way.įound out that it’s hard for a character designer to get into the line of work, even more so when it’s a small university project where numbers in groups are limited and people are as stubborn as ever.
